No expectation..., no disappointment....

We get disappointed only when we have expectation (and when the expectation does not turn out to be a reality). When there is no expectation of any sort, whatever we get, is a blessing. We get satisfied with whatever we get and that makes us happy. After all, the happiness in life, is of paramount importance. But, for that reason, can we totally avoid having any expectation? That is impossible to many of us. What is our aim when we join a reputed University? To get the coveted degree, and that too with 'flying colors'! Why do we join a sports academy, after having spotted our talent, in that particular sport? To become a champion sportsman. We put in all our heart and soul into it. So, it is quite natural for us to expect the result, right? No, sir! Aim is different from expectation. We aim to become 'this or that'. Nothing wrong with that. மேகலா : கிருஷ்ணா...., பாரதியாரின் கவிதையைச் சொல்லிட்டயா... எனக்கு, விண்ணிலே பறக்கும் பெண்கள் ஞாபகம் வருது கிருஷ்ணா... ஏவுகணைகளை விண்ணில் செலுத்தும் வரைக்கும் பெண்கள் புறப்பட்டு விட்டார்கள் என்பதை நாம் பார்த்து விட்டோம்ல.... Space-ல் பறந்த பெண்ணை, சில காலத்திற்கு முன்னால் எல்லோரும் பார்த்தோமே..., நினைவிருக்கிறதா கிருஷ்ணா.... கிருஷ்ணர் : OH! ஆமாம்... ‘நாசா’ அனுப்பிய விண்கலத்தில், space-க்குப் பறந்து சென்றவர்களில் ஒருவர் தான் ‘கல்பனா சாவ்லா’. விண்ணில் பறந்தவர்... விண் வெளியிலேயே காற்றோடு கரைந்து போனவள்... இப்படிப் பேசப் பேசத்தான், ‘பெண்களால் முடியும்’ என்ற வார்த்தையை, பெருமையாய் சொல்ல முடிகிறது..... மேகலா : கிருஷ்ணா..., ‘கல்பனா சாவ்லா’ ஒருவர் தான்.... இன்று, அவர் காற்றோடு கலந்து..., நூற்றுக்கும் மேலான கல்பனா சாவ்லாக்களை, விண்வெளியில் தூவி விட்டார் போலும்... ஆகாய விமானத்தை ஓட்டும் விமானிகளில் எத்தனை பேர் பெண்கள் தெரியுமா கிருஷ்ணா.... நான் முதன் முதலில் துபாய்க்குச் செல்லும் போது, அந்த விமானத்தை ஓட்டும் விமானிகளில் ஒருவர், பெண்... இப்போ, ஹரித்துவார் சென்ற போது..., அங்கிருந்து Ban...

Civic Sense....! What....?

One day recently, when I opened the door in my house, to see the outside world (after a siesta), I saw about 10 two - wheelers parked in front of my house restricting me going to the road. We in fact, had planned to go out in our car; but we could not get our car out from the shed as 3 motor bikes were parked in front of the gate. I had to look for the vehicle owners and ask them to clear off the space for us to take out our car. In front of our house, there is very good shade, thanks to two neem trees we planted long back. We do not mind people parking their vehicles in the shade, but they should respect our need to use the front-yard. We treat the public property (and private property of others!) as our own. We have scant respect for the other users of the public property. Let them suffer; we must feel comfortable. That is the attitude!
