Things....., which baffle you...?!
Most of us (menfolk) would have at one point or the other must have gone through the experience (ordeal) of the wife selecting the 'matching blouse' for her saree! The saree selection would have consumed the whole day. Yet when your wife comes out of the shop, she would think that the saree worn by a passerby looks better (than her own selection)! Many men assiduously avoid such encounters (may be after one or two occasions!). There would be a myriad range of colors and designs (blouse material) arranged in the textile shops. But your wife will not be able to select the right color & design, out of the huge stock tirelessly shown by the sales person. The colors available will be rivaling that of the colors available with a paint manufacturer. So, do we have to invent more colors? Do we need more and more 'fashion designers'? I am really baffled....!
People witness death everyday. At that moment we lament the insecurity and uncertainty of life ('the one who was talking to me yesterday is no more'). But immediately thereafter we go by our regular lives, forgetting all about the uncertainty of life (imminent death, rather)! We restart our plans for the next few decades, as if there is no death for us. I am not saying that planning for the future is incorrect. It is essential, but at the back of our mind we should always be ready for the eventuality. We forget (or ignore) that death for everyone is imminent. We plan for the downfall of our opponents (relatives mainly!). This really baffles me....!
A bowler getting exalted at a batsman getting out to a poor shot to an innocuous ball, baffles me!
We (almost all professionals like doctors, lawyers, government officers, police officers, auditors etc) have lot of ideals when we start our careers. But, down the line, during the course of our career lives, we change track (I am not talking about everyone) and help the criminals. What prompts them to go astray? Is it greed? Most of the time, yes! Don't we fear God? Here again, I am baffled....!
Industrialists and businessmen start off in a small way, work the hard way to reach the top. But once they reach a certain level, they look for ways of minting more money, adopting unscrupulous means. Disclaimer : Here again I am referring to some people only and not all. They are driven by rivalry, jealousy, ego and greed. But why....? They start amassing huge wealth (through illegal means) which will take care of their families for the next few generations. Are they (the next generation folks) not supposed to work and earn their livelihood? By doing this, they actually spoil them. Easy money will naturally flow to unholy destinations! In trying to hide the ill-gotten wealth, one has to resort to all nefarious and dubious ways. One will be constantly making inhuman efforts to hide the wealth from authorities, thereby losing sleep. The amassed wealth will not give happiness, throughout one's life.... What is the point, then....? Are you not baffled, like me....?
The above are some of the things which really baffle me....! There could be more such things which annoy me (and you as well), but I don't get them, right now. Anything else which baffles you? You may please comment....
