Civic Sense....! What....?

One day recently, when I opened the door in my house, to see the outside world (after a siesta), I saw about 10 two - wheelers parked in front of my house restricting me going to the road. We in fact, had planned to go out in our car; but we could not get our car out from the shed as 3 motor bikes were parked in front of the gate. I had to look for the vehicle owners and ask them to clear off the space for us to take out our car. In front of our house, there is very good shade, thanks to two neem trees we planted long back. We do not mind people parking their vehicles in the shade, but they should respect our need to use the front-yard. We treat the public property (and private property of others!) as our own. We have scant respect for the other users of the public property. Let them suffer; we must feel comfortable. That is the attitude! Though the municipality has arranged for collection of garbage from all households every day, people still throw the garbage on the road. The gove

My unique ID problem

Should I pat myself for being unique or regret for being one in a million...?? That is my dilemma...! I do not have a problem in leaving my finger prints in a crime scene. Hey...! Please don't jump to any conclusions.... Why am I saying this? I cannot identify myself using my finger prints... Perplexed! I too am baffled. Hello, I have fingers, okay.... My sim card' in my smart phone developed a peculiar problem. The 'data package' charged already is in tact. That is, the 'internet' is working. I receive calls. But I cannot make calls! The package includes 100 free SMS per day and unlimited calls. Okay, even SMS can be sent from my phone. Only problem is that I cannot make calls to any number... I consulted the 'service provider'. After a thorough 'check up' of my phone, it was found that there is a problem with the 'sim card' and it needs to be replaced. Here comes the problem. They do not have any issue in replacing my 'sim card

Lose something, to gain something else....

Recently I lost an important and confidential document (I am not going to tell you what it is; after all, it is a confidential one, you see..!). In our office ...or residence...? It will be great if I know that. Sometime later I might even forget what I have lost..... The sky has not fallen down.... so, it may not be that important as I think.... That is how I consoled myself and all along keeping it (losing the document) close to my chest..... The best idea to (accidentally) find the lost document is to ..... lose something else which is NOT very important.... Subsequently, the unimportant thing might become very important and essential.... That is how it turns out to be, invariably... Anyway, I decided to lose (intentionally) my pen drive. Initially I thought there was no file saved in the pen drive. Nothing to worry..... (more about this later....). Okay, I purposely lost my pen drive. I promptly started my hunting expedition, (to find the lost document) first in the office....
