Are you having the most number of problems....?

Some people have the habit of blabbering all the time (why am I having so many problems?). Whenever they face a problem, they start uttering those words. 'Why only me?' Why do they imagine that it is only they who get all the bad things in life?

Arthur Ashe, one of the greatest tennis players, the world has witnessed, when afflicted by AIDS (due to a faulty blood transfusion), was asked 'why you, of all people?' His reply was classic, at its best. "Out of millions of people who learn to play tennis, I entered the list of top-ranking players and won the coveted Wimbledon title. I did not ask God, 'why me, of all people?' So, I should not ask the same question when I contracted AIDS".

We never question when we get good things in life. We take them for granted, as if it is our right to get such things. But the moment we meet a small setback, we pity us and say, "I am the unluckiest person in the world". Setbacks, problems (challenges), failures come in our life with a purpose. We should understand that first. They bring out the best fighting qualities from within us and find solutions to all our miseries. In the process, we become better human beings. Nothing can teach us better life lessons than failures and difficult situations. View them as 'challenges' and opportunities, rather than as problems. The present pandemic coronovirus also should be viewed as a challenge and an opportunity. We will all come out unscathed from this dreadful situation. Believe in God.

Some people enjoy talking about their problems. In fact, in their sub-conscious mind, they do not want their problems to be sorted out. They cannot live without their troubles....! The problems become integral part of their lives. They will scout for advises from friends, but they will not bother to execute the plans. They are incorrigible....

Most of us compare ourselves with people who seem to be having cushy lives. What kinds of problems they undergo, we do not know. We never compare us with underprivileged people, who have to even struggle for a square meal. Every living creature in this world has got some problem or the other. The problems vary in size, nature and longevity. That is all.

A story - An anonymous voice was heard over the city. All were asked to bundle their problems and bring them to a particular place at an appointed hour. Every person brought his bundle of problems, each varying in size. The light was switched off. The anonymous voice said, 'You can choose any bundle that you want and get going'. Everyone thought, 'at least I know what problems are there in my bundle, but I do not know what kind of problems might be there in other bundles'. So they all unanimously declared, 'we will take our own bundle and go off'.
