Always belong to 'B Positive' group.....

Once a painter was given a task to make a portrait of a king who had one leg and one eye. This portrait was going to be placed among the portraits of the king’s illustrious forefathers. The painter planned to have a fitting portrait of the king. The portrait finally drawn showed the king sitting on a horse, the one existing leg in the side of the horse and the king taking aim with his bow and arrow with one eye (the unavailable eye) closed. What a thoughtful presentation by the painter! He had focused on the positives. But it was still a true representation of the king. Always focus on the positive. If you put a line across the negative sign (-), you get a ‘plus’ (+).

A statistics professor wrote a problem on the board, which remained unsolved for a long time. He informed the students in the class about the problem not getting solved over many years. A student entered the class immediately after the professor gave that information. He thought that the problem on the board was home-work assignment for the week-end. He came back on Monday and gave his note-book to the professor with the solution for the problem. The professor was taken by surprise. What happened was, all along the problem had been presented as 'unsolvable' and that negative thought entered the heads of the students. The student who found the solution was not given this message (of negativity) as he was not in the class when the professor explained about its unsolved status. Always, positive thoughts give positive results.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             We should always surround ourselves with people who emanate positive thoughts. Avoid being in the midst of negative people. They always have something derogatory to say on anything you tell them. You cannot change their attitude. If you tell them that you have bought a house in a particular locality, they will say it is far off from your office (or your son's school). You might have chosen the place considering so many aspects to meet your convenience. If you tell them, that you did something the way you did, they will have a different opinion and say, 'you should have done like this'. You live your life according to your convenience and within your resources and not not to please anyone else. It is as simple as that.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Some people have the habit of criticizing anything the others do. They get pleasure in going the opposite way (just to be different from others), The other day I saw a video clipping (in YouTube) in which Swami Vivekanandha gave his historic speech in Chicago, way back in the year 1893, starting his speech with 'Brothers & Sisters' instead of the 'run-of-the-mill' way of addressing the gathering with 'Ladies & Gentlemen'. Instantaneously there was an unprecedented standing ovation for about 3 minutes. Under the comments column for this video, I happened to see a comment, 'what is the big deal?'. Even the best videos in YouTube will have around 10 to 20% 'dislikes'  compared to 'likes'. There are 'good critics' and never a 'good appreciator'!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Lord Buddha reportedly said, 'Negative people will have a problem for every solution' (opposed to 'positive' people having a solution for every problem'). There is a saying that 'you will become what you think you want to become'. Always work on that relentlessly with that aim. Single-minded devotion and smart work will take you to the place where you want to reach. Never allow 'negative' people in your scheme of things.
