Had it happened the other way...?!

Everyone, at some point of time or the other, would have thought so (had it happened the other way...). It is wishful thinking. Nothing (with few exceptions) in the world, happens as we wish. The way it has happened is the surest thing. It was destined to happen that way.  All our efforts in a particular direction may fructify in a totally different direction (due to the will of God). So whatever happens may follow your path or the exact opposite. Hence, the conclusion is that the result may or may not have any relevance to what we think might happen. We can never say with assurance that the result will be exactly as what we have assumed or calculated it to be. It might or might not happen that way. So, the governing factor is entirely God's will. But God will help you to achieve what you plan with your sincere efforts, most of the time. So, it is our duty to do the task sincerely and leave the result to God. He knows what is best for us. At least, this is my firm belief.

Even the established business houses fail sometimes in their ventures. Why so? Have they not taken care of all aspects? The failure takes place despite the fact that every possible source of failure is considered and rectified. So, what we cannot explain is due to God's will and action. How much of meticulous planning and execution takes place in space missions. Still some of the missions fail at the last minute. How and Why? The established and in-form team goes down to an 'underdog' team, in a match. The loss might have been caused due to some sudden turn of events (like insufficient coordination or accidental fall of a key player....). Who caused those events? We cannot possibly explain. That is God's way of doing things!

Everyone of us plan or aspire to become this or that (Doctor, Engineer, Accountant, Pilot....). Does everyone succeed in achieving his/her dream? Of course, you might have put in your best possible efforts toward realizing your dream. At the start of your career, you do have a lot of dreams (of even becoming the MD of that company, some day!). How many of us succeed in our mission? A handful only! Dr. Kalam wanted to become a pilot. But he ended up as the 'missile man' and President of India. So, there is an unknown factor and that is God's will. But God also helps those who help themselves. Hence, it is imperative for us to do our duty regardless of the result, which God will take care of.

A farmer sows his field with seeds, in the right time. He does all the necessary works connected with cultivating the crop. He feeds manure, water, applies pesticides, removes the unwanted vegetation etc. But can he control the weather? It might so happen that a strong wind wipes off the fruits of his labor at the last minute. So, the final saying is with God. He (God) knows what is best for us. Remember this and work accordingly.

The renowned physicist Stephen Hawking is reported to have said, 'Even the believers (in God) look both sides before crossing the road'. What is wrong with that? God will not come and take everyone by hand to take him across the road. He has given eyes, brain, legs to cross the road in the proper way. This is how the non-believers think (crooked), however great they are in their chosen fields...
