Word, 'not spoken'...., conveys more...., much more!

The purpose of any language is to convey one's thoughts to the other who is listening. Sentences are formed with different and suitable words to convey the correct meaning. But there is a whole different way to convey the thought process to others...., that is, not to speak the words required to convey what is to be conveyed. Instead, speak entirely different words which convey something else, apparently not connected with the subject. Here, the intended message is camouflaged and hidden. The listener should get the implied message.

A movie scene - A local ruffian approaches a landlord, with his henchmen. He has an eye on the property. He asks the landlord about the price of the property.

Landlord : But I don't have any intention to sell this property.

Ruffian : Oh.... Okay. You have a son, isn't it?

Landlord : Yes, he is my only child.

Ruffian : He is studying Engineering in Bangalore, right? He is staying in a "PG accommodation" in ITPL road..... Am I correct?

Landlord : Yes, you are absolutely correct.

Ruffian : Ask him to be careful and safe, as criminals are everywhere...

The landlord gets the intended message and agrees to sell the property to the ruffian.

An office scenario - A project team member is expecting to get his promotion and approaches the team leader.

Team member : Sir, what about my promotion?

Team leader : Oh..., yes. By the way, have you completed your portion in the project which is supposed to be completed in March?

Team member : Sir, there is a small delay and I hope to complete it by August.

Team leader : Oh.... Okay. Do you know that this delay is pushing back the other projects waiting in line?

Team member : Sorry sir. I will finish it in August.

The member will definitely get the hidden message that he will not get the promotion now.

A guy loves a girl for a long time, but he does not have the guts to convey it to his girl. But his body language will convey his love, more than his words (even if they were spoken). One's body language can express almost all emotions and the mood of the person, much better than any word.....

Even 'silence' at appropriate times will convey the intended message beautifully.

From the type of 'cry' of the toddler, the mother will understand whether the baby is crying for milk or she is having some pain. From the continuous movement of the limbs the baby conveys his happiness.

The hearing impaired people get the message through 'signs'. It may be difficult for the normal people to understand.

These days, we all use 'emojis' to express our different moods, in the social media platforms. No words can adequately express those moods! ЁЯШАЁЯШХЁЯШбЁЯШ│ЁЯШШ

The eyes can convey all 9 emotions (love/beauty, laughter, sorrow, anger, courage, fear, disgust, surprise, tranquility) without the need to speak a word.
