What to believe and what not to believe...? This is a very pertinent question today, whenever we go through any article or news item in the media. Even the 'print media' is not sure of what they print - they issue a 'disclaimer' at the end of every piece of their work. Today, the media gives importance and prominence only to 'sensational' content and not the 'facts'. It is for the reader or viewer to discern and ascertain the correctness in the articles or video clippings which the media dished out for us. In the early civilization, people thought that the 'earth was flat', as they could see only as long as they could see with naked eyes. So the world looked flat in their view. People were not traveling too far as they were engaged in survival, more than exploration. They were not knowing the concept of 'disclaimer'. A lot of research is going on in every field, known to humans. A lot is being invented as well, every day. No doubt, some inventions are really very useful and helpful for the human race. Some may be of academic interest. Anyway that also could lead to some other useful invention in future. The pace of landing in inventions (from the research process) is actually frantic, to say the least. Of course, path-breaking inventions had happened right from the early days. Knowledge (when applied) is power & Ignorance is bliss - We have to strike a balance between the two to be happy.  To lead a sensible life, we need information and knowledge. Otherwise we will be groping in the dark. At the same time, too much of knowledge will burden our brain and mind. So, at times, it is better not to know certain things. What we should know and what we need not know? How to discern this? That is where our sharp acumen should come into play. The ignorant person may not necessarily be an illiterate person. Even if he does not know anything about a particular 'subject' he would be deemed as ignorant of that particular subject only. 'Perfect' is the most 'imperfect' word - in my opinion. Is there a perfect thing in this world? - Not exactly. Nothing can be 'perfectly' perfect! Anything and everything can be improved further. And then, furthermore.... The process is endless. All along we are taught that earth is round. Now some scientists are disputing that theory and trying to prove that the earth is 'flat'. May be they are crazy...., but who knows....! How many established scientific theories have been getting re-written, along the way...! What is known today as a 'perfect' theory may be proved wrong sometime later. They now say that 'Artificial Intelligence' (AI) will soon overtake the 'human intelligence'.
